• Job descriptions you submit for comparison
• Email address and account details if you choose to create an account
• Payment information if you upgrade to a Premium plan (processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store card details)

• Basic usage data such as pages visited and features used
• Device type, browser, and approximate location (country/region level)
• IP address for security and fraud prevention purposes

We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what you voluntarily submit as part of your resume.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate your resume match score, keyword gap analysis, and ATS feedback
• Deliver tailoring suggestions and other features you request
• Improve the accuracy and quality of the Service
• Send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation, password reset) if you have an account
• Prevent fraud and ensure the security of the Service

We do not use your resume content to train AI models without your explicit consent, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. AI Processing

Resume content and job descriptions you submit are processed by third-party AI services to generate scores and suggestions. These providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and may not use it for their own model training purposes. Current providers may include services such as Anthropic or similar. We will update this policy if our providers change materially.

4. Data Retention

• Free tier (no account): Resume and job description content submitted for a free analysis is processed in real time and is not stored permanently on our servers after your session ends.
• Registered accounts: We retain your saved results and account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@aplyr.io.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies to keep the Service functioning (e.g., session state, authentication). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some parts of the Service may not work correctly as a result.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help operate the Service (e.g., hosting, payment processing, AI providers), under appropriate data processing agreements
• Legal authorities if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users
